마음 고생… 🌈 지난 주일 날(1/9)부터 오늘(1/11)까지 적잖이 마음 고생을 했습니다. 주일 날 시애틀을 거쳐서 밀워키로 가기로 한 아들 애가 당일 날 예약 항공 편이 연착되어, 다음 날 대체 항공 편 티켓을 받고 집으로 돌아와서 어제(1/10) 늦은 밤에 출발했답니다. 1/11~1/12 일 일정으로 시애틀을 거쳐서 밀워키로 가기로 하고 애를 보냈는데, 항공 편을 오늘 조회를 해보니 엉뚱하게도 시애틀에서 시카고를 거쳐 밀워키로 가는 항공편으로 운항 중이었습니다. 더군다나 짐은 먼저 밀워키로 가고 있고…, 아들 애하고는 연락이 안되고… (비행기를 세 차례나 짧은 시간에 갈아 타다보니 연락을 주고 받고 할 시간이 없었음) 원인은 북한의 미사일 발사로 미국 서해안 지역의 공항에서 일정 시간 비행 이착륙 금지를 시행한.. 더보기
Weathered townscape 🌈 Aloha ~ 짧은 겨울방학을 끝내고 지난 수요일에는 딸 아이에 이어서 오늘은 아들 애를 공항에 내려주고 왔습니다. 자신의 생애 세번 째 차를 Milwaukee 에 있는 딜러로부터 좋은 조건으로 전화 상담 후 구입했다네요. 앞서의 차들은 중고 차를 샀었지만, 이번엔 새차를 계약해서 처음 가보는 그곳으로 차를 인수하러 날아 간답니다. 차를 직접 몰고 시카고에 있는 친구 집에서 며칠 머물다가 Co-Op을 하기 위한 회사가 있는 아이오와 주로 가서 7개월 간 근무를 하고, 올 가을 학기에 학교로 복귀할 예정이랍니다. 아들과 딸 아이 모두 작년에 이어서 올해에도 다양한 회사 경험과 함께, 학업을 병행하면서 한층 성장하길 기대해봅니다. 당분간은 아이들 빈 자리가 생각날듯 하군요. 🙏 Mahalo ~ “The .. 더보기
