Hawaii. 어제 저녁부터 강한 바람을 동반한 폭우가 오늘 이 시간(8:30pm)까지 종일 내리고 있습니다. 하와이는 지금 우기입니다. 오늘 아내와 대상포진 2차 예방 접종을 했습니다. 원래는 Booster 접종을 하기로 했었는데, 이것 때문에 2~3주 뒤로 늦추기로 했습니다. 간호사 말로는 둘 다 강력한 예방 접종이기에 최소한 2주간의 간격을 두어야 한다는군요. 🎅 Mahalo~ “Color field” painting is a style of painting that developed in the middle of the 20th century, primarily in New York… . . Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden 🌈 Aloha Hawaii!! Island scene…🏝 ⛰ Honolulu 시에서는 총 다섯 곳의 Botanical Garden 들을 운영, 관리하고 있답니다. 모두 가 본 곳이지만 Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden 은 단연코 최고의 풍광을 자랑하는 곳이어서 세계 각국에서 방문한 관광객들이 인생 사진을 남기는 곳입니다. 📸 방문한 것 자체로 저절로 힐링이 될 만큼 수려한 풍경과 운치를 자랑하는데, 발음하기도 힘든 이 가든의 이름이 하와이 원주민 언어인 Ho’omaluhia 입니다. ‘make a place of peace and tranquility.’ 즉 ‘평화와 평온을 만드는 장소’를 뜻하는 것인데, 이름 그대로라는 생각이 들게끔 해주는 Botanical Garden 입니다. 💐🌴.. 더보기
Red Shoe 👠… 🌈 Aloha!! Hawaii. 한국의 매서운 겨울 날씨에 비할 바는 아니겠지만, 하와이에 살면서 가장 추운 날이 어제, 오늘이 아닌가 싶습니다. 다른 분들도 그렇다고들 하시니 저만의 생각은 아니군요. 섭씨 12~18도, ☔️ 비까지 내리는 을씨년스런 날씨에다가 매서운 칼바람이 불어 체감 온도는 더 내려갔습니다. 아침 뉴스에선 빅아일랜드의 높은 산에는 눈까지 내렸다는군요. 🌨 저도 예외는 아닌지라 처음으로 두꺼운 긴팔 모직 남방에 가디건을 곁들여 입고나서야 차가운 공기에 대항할 수 있었습니다. 😷 🎅 Happy weekend. Red Poppy… 🌈 Aloha!! 🖼 Canvas를 벽에 걸기 위해서는 많은 노력을 하지 않고 그냥 Staples gun으로 줄을 연결하여 해결하곤 했는데, 문제는 Canvas panel의 경우는 두께가 얇고 비교적 가벼워 Staples gun 은 적당치 않아서 고민했었습니다. 🤯 생각하던 차에 Walmart 에서 천연 식물성 섬유질 끈을 구입하여, 집에 있던 Glue gun으로 플라스틱 접착제를 만들어 아크릴 보드의 행거를 해결 했습니다. 😅 '궁하면 통한다 (困窮而通)'… 즐거운 주말 보내시길 바랍니다. 🤗 🎅 Happy weekend. Sailboat… 🌈 Aloha!! 필요한 물건들을 구입하려고 저녁에 Walmart에 들렀더니, 블랙프라이데이가 지나서인지 물건들이 많이 없더군요. 정작 찾는 물건들은 없고 간 김에 8*10” canvas 10ea 와 canvas 걸이를 만들기 위한 줄, 아크릴 medium 등, 구입 예정에도 없던 것들만 사왔네요. 😅 🎅 Mahalo!! ‘The ability to convincingly paint the illusion of a reflection on water is a useful skill for any artist to learn…’ . .
