막내 야옹이가 죽은지 일주일이 지났네요. 아직도 마음이 추스려지지 않아서 잡념이 없이 할 수 있는 그림만 뜬금없이 따라해보는 일이 반복됩니다.

야옹이란 이름이 별로 좋지 않다는 생각을 해봅니다. 두 야옹이가 비명횡사를 했으니…
다시는 ‘야옹이’란 이름을 고양이들한테 이름 지어주고 싶지 않네요.
오늘 야옹이의 집을 치워버렸습니다. 13 년 이상을 키운 다른 아이들도 귀하지만, 눈 뜨고 나를 처음 본 그 아이가 이 세상에 없다고 하니, 생각나지 않게 아예 없애버렸습니다.
